About the Opportunity
This hands-on position involves performing a wide range of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks across ECH facilities, including landscaping, garden care, irrigation, pruning and planting.
The work includes technical projects like installing paving, managing stormwater systems, and setting up or repairing irrigation systems to keep outdoor spaces functional and attractive.
Beyond the physical work, this role requires planning and communication skills, you'll work with managers to develop maintenance schedules, respond professionally to residents' concerns about their outdoor spaces, and prepare monthly reports that track completed work.
About You
The ideal Garden Services Officer works well both on their own and with others, including team members, residents and managers.
You'll have hands on experience within gardening, horticulture, landscaping or grounds work. qualifications withing gardening or horticulture would be an advantage.
While your gardening skills are important, you must also communicate well with older clients, showing respect and understanding their specific needs. Your goal is to create outdoor spaces that residents will enjoy and that make their lives better.
Essential Criteria
- National Police check
- Driver’s licence
- First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling
Desirable
- Trade qualification in Gardening or Horticulture
- 5+ years’ experience
